Whose generation?

Yes, executive producer Noah Hawley. We all have lived through a lot in the past 10 years. What can I say about this trailer and My Generation?

• I remember this show when it was called quarterlife.


• It's 2010 and we've still got the token black guy. And he's playing The Jock (at 0:58).


• At least the token Asian lady isn't playing The Brain. That role was saved for the token Latina. Progress!

I doubt this is accurate

because I don't even watch Chuck. Plus, I am so into Cappie right now. Thank goodness quarterlife got cancelled, er, "shifted to Bravo". Thanks, Stephanie!

The New Black Donnellys

I'm watching quarterlife right now. To compare this piece of trash to My So-Called Life is heresy. This show isn't even October Road-quality. Instead of my Jake/Bryan, there's a Matt Dillon lookalike, an Anthony-Rapp-in-Rent lookalike, and a Sam Huntington lookalike. Because the producers couldn't afford the actual guy who played the third Caveman from the left.

Also, someone got their first Letter to the Editor printed! Yippee skippy! It was in response to this article: Dear Generation Y: stop the violence, by Kathryn Rose at The Penn.

Although why is the occupation listed as "student"? I told them about the book! Was "author" too much?

The Democratization of the Internet

When I first heard about Quarterlife, the new MySpaceTV series coming in November, I didn't want to jump to any conclusions. Why should I think a television show about individuals in their twenties necessarily be about skinny, pretty, whiny white Americans who don't really have anything to say about anything?

If only my cynicism could be proven wrong once. To be fair, I think I saw one black guy in the trailer. The peeps at Defamer had some humorous comments about this groundbreaking series as well.
